Google Classroom has been a HUGE time saver in my classroom! I post all my links, videos, and assignments together in Google Classroom, so my students are all on the same page. If you are an educator, you know students type at different speeds. Using Google Classroom is an efficient way to keep students together and maximize your classroom time. With Classroom, it is easy to add links, documents, videos, audio recordings, and much MUCH more! You can also group all the documents, websites, videos and links you are using for that lesson in one group, so the students have all the materials in one section. In my classroom I have only begun to experience all the tools Google Classroom has to offer. If you have never used Google Classroom, check out this set up video by Randy Saeks on how to set up your Google Classroom for each class. Yes, yes you read my right EACH class. You may have all the same types of classes during the day (all English for example), but classes are broken up by period or block; you may teach a different subject for a period or block; or you may teach the same students all day, but teach many different subjects (elementary ed). Either way, you can separate each period, block, or subject throughout your day by creating a new Google Classroom for each. You do need a Google Account to set up your Classroom. If you do not teach, but you want to use the program for your job or administrative roles, you can! The steps would be the same. Check out this video by Jeff Grossenbacher on how to add students to your Google Classroom when you are ready to add. The initial student set up could take some time, and showing students how to add the class and navigate the resources, but it is worth it in the end. When you are ready to add assignments and such to the "Stream" in your Classroom, watch this "how to" video below. It gives you a quick explanation of how to add assignments. I LOVE how Classroom connects with your Google Drive and allows you to group resources together. If you are well advanced in Google Classroom and are looking for more ideas.
